This was our first creation; a story that wrote itself with the ink of unfathomable amounts of love held for a very special lady.
In 2020 our family experienced the heartbreak of losing a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. How do you begin to explain to a girl of only five years of age, that her favourite person is no longer here?
The only way that made sense to me at the time, was to sit down and create a little fairy tale; its writing to embody the amazing qualities of our ‘love beam’, and its illustrations coming straight from my daughter’s heart.
Creating the book was a very cathartic process for us both.
And we hope that its message may continue to support others in times of grief.
